Mass Hysteria vs Calm and Freedom Loving (Mainstream vs Parallel)

How long with the mass hysteria last? Great question.

My view is that mass hysteria is a symptom not a cause.

So totally there is a full blown over-reaction, anxiety, catastrophizing, and also mass hysteria.

I tend to think it is because we are in the process of mass generational change. The baby boomers have controlled society for over 50 years now and change is happening.

Not only are they moving past working age, they are also facing the big question of death. The ramifications of this is huge. 2020 was the year that the boomers formally hit retirement.

2020 was a big year for them - turning a sneeze into a pandemic and an attempt to shift the world economy to be entirely focused on health.

It’s no coincidence. Big Pharma also has a massive opportunity to cash in. So there’s that, too.

What I foresee is a transition and further fragmentation of society - think of the dying days of the Roman Empire. One group dying out, and the seedlings of a new society. A large well resourced groups - boomers - living the hysteria and trying to cope with life and death. Another awake group - less resourced - that will choose to live differently. More carefree, less stressed and with different priorities (many boomers will be here too - so I’m speak sociologically and not about immutable characteristics based on age). In lay terms, yes still a fair bit more BS to listen to for the next few years. However don’t buy into it, there‘s lots of good stuff happening too.

I’m going to walk down to the beach. It's Monday.

    Have a lovely day all.

Make a sand castle for me, I haven't been down to the beach in years! Going green with envy! Well that's part of being a full-time carer I guess!

Yep, my heart weeps for all those working ... while I struggle listening to the beautiful sounds of the waves.
