People are cranky with Neil Young.
It is because he apparently wrote an open letter to Spotify asking them to censor Joe Rogan.
Now a few theories are going around.
Like there is elder abuse. His younger partner, Daryl Hannah, you know that one that dressed like a Mermaid all those years ago (what a performance!) pressured Neil.
Then there's the note about him selling his back catalogue for $150m to BlackRock Investments, the horrible financial fund of terrorists.
Then there's the story that he has never heard Joe Rogan, but had some faint idea about something.
To tell you the truth. I think it is fantastic.
It feels like we are winning. The tide is turning. The times are a changin'.
You know how I know this? It's because Neil Young is on the pro-vaccination bandwagon.
He's like the negative ground hog that they pull out to guess the weather. Or the Octopus that puts down a tentacle to predict the World Series.
Whichever team Neil is on, it's going to lose. I love it.
It's a win all around. I get to love Neil Young still. I get to love Joe Rogan still. And I get to see that freedom is winning out.
Because Neil is ALWAYS on the losing side.
But, more than that, he is a contrarian.
He was for Ronald Reagan when people hated Ronald Reagan.
He was writing songs about how terrible 'welfare mothers' are, at a time of feminism and social justice.
He was anti-commercialisation, just before all the rockers sold out.
He is now pro-Biden, when Biden is smelling like a walking corpse.
So, Neil is always going to take the side of the underdog, the losing team.
That gives me great hope.
And all the other stories, just make me like him more.
He's the confused guy, who doesn't know what he's talking about, and just blurts stuff out - totally empathise.
So keeping on rocking in the free world everyone.
More confusion is on the way, just as long as Neil stays contrarian.
